I am getting a 60GB WD 7200rpm 2mb cache drive ata/100(for free) and I have a Maxtor 60GB 7200rpm ATA/133 8mb cache.
My question is this, if I use a RAID card would I lose the performance of the ATA/133 and 8MB cache?

When you RAID any set of drives... You individual drive performance is as slow as the slowest drive in the link..
Since the difference between a 2mb cache vs 8mb cache is very small (if you notice any at all) then you wont really lose much :)
Cool. I still don't know if I'll RAID them. How much performance would I gain from using RAID as opposed to just having a master and a slave drive?
