One additional interesting aspect of the game is the Architectural Generator Engine that, when you play, arranges the castle layout in a new and unique way every time you play. This is an internally developed, highly sophisticated file hierarchy system that allows random generation of geometry (static and/or animated), texturing, sound, character spawning and any game play element.
I wonder how they did this without oversimplifing levels because randomly generated maps for fps games are usually extremely simple...I wonder if they have premade levels/rooms that the designers made and just placed these rooms in random order and set different points that could be made as enterances...I really don't see a random map generator creating any good looking and unique geometry...oh and btw it uses an engine that was developed in house...another thing that was really cool is that when you play...the screen looks like a 1930's projector is showing everything...it's got like these lines running up and down and they made it so it's a cool effect...but it doesn't get annoying...
