i don't know if coolbits works but i havent seen a ti4200 OC'd this far...leads me to believe the clock settings arent taking effect, any way to double check?

thats about right for a 4200 at stock
what are your oc speed on the 4200?
No its not. 250Mhz for the Core and either 500 or 444 is normal for the Ram. That's a massive OC if its sticking. Run 3DMark 03 and it will display your speeds.
sapasion - 3dmark 2k3 says
VGA Memory Clock 648.0 MHz
VGA Core Clock 310.5 MHz
i don't know why it's stable at this speed, theres no ram sinks, but i do have the side of the case off with a house fan blowing in it...
you think my cpu/board/ram is bottlenecking it or is the card maxed out with this setup? i'm hoping it will get a little faster with a barton 2500@3200 (200fsb) and a new board that has 8x agp.
What drivers are you using, and do you have it set on performance, aa/af off and vetical sync set to always off.
4.5.2.3
i set it to "best performance" in display properties and aa/af off and verticle sync off...im thinking the scores should be a little higher? i see people with a ti4200 pulling 14k....maybe it's their cpu.
The 45.23 drop 3DMark scores by ~1K so if you want better 3DMark scores, try the 40.72s.Quote:

check - i'll try them out and post back
sapasion - no, an MSI...4ns memory, i was hoping for one of the ones with 3.6ns but oh well...
  4ns RAM @ 650MHz!!! OMG, MINE'S ONLY AT 585 AND THERES LIKE ARTIFACTS EVERYWHERE... NO FAIR!!!
edit: is it a 64 mb or 128 mb card?
64MB card...maybe it's cause this board only supports agp 4x? lol. maybe it's the board itself, i dunno...the weird thing is if the memory is around 630-635mhz it doesnt get hot, higher than that and it gets so hot you can only hold your finger on it for a second. the back of the GPU is so hot i'm surprised it hasnt melted the PCB or atleast turned it a nice amber color. don't think it will clock much past 310 on the core, wouldnt want to try...that thing is smoking hot!!! wonder if i should put a diff heatsink/fan on it since it has those mounting holes of some type
icecube - your also pulling 13520 on 3dmark 01...around 3k more than me, why? NO FAIR lol
I'm getting that mark is cuz of my CPU, I can get a much higher score if I have RAM that can do 200FSB with tighter timings, but still, I really want to get my RAM higher cuz everyone is like getting over 600 on the video RAM except me :p
edit: get a Giant II for it, gotta luv that baby!! :D
maybe ill see 13k then when i get the barton sometime this week.
used 2 new drivers, interesting results...
xp@1800mhz on 150fsb
detonator 5.1.7.5
--------------------------
default clock (250/513) - 9667
300/594 - 10288
310/648 - 10521
detonator 4.0.7.2
--------------------------
default - 10607
300/594 - 11375
310/648 - 11644
used rivatuner to OC, it doesnt let you adjust to exact speeds, it sorta rounds up/down so i couldnt get exacly 650mhz on the memory...tried to oc to 660 on mem after installing coolbits but it doesnt even allow over 645... 4072 kicks the new driver in the ***
