Seems to me couple yrs ago sparkle used to get mentioned often as far as a recommended psu around here. Now it seems that antec and enermax are pretty much the only ones recommened now. Just curious if anyone is using them anymore.

I don't know of anyone that is using them. They weren't ever as good as Enermax or Antec though...
they're still not terrible psu's, it's just that hardware lately has gotten incredibly power hungry (video cards) and it makes more sense to just pick up a nice, top of the line one, especially for those (like most of us here) who are gonna overclock the heck outta it and really stress the PSU rails...but, sparkle (and also enlight) make some decent psu's actually, and for cheap.
Hey, I have a 400W Sparkle (see the sig). It works great for me. At the time I bought it, it seemed like one of the best PSU's when I was researching stuff.
PROs: My voltages are always fine, the PSU has never caused any instability. (I have many fans + 4 or 5 HDD's + fairly OC'd CPU)
CONs: IMHO, I think that the fan in this thing is louder than it should be. It has two speeds that it spins at (temp controlled). On the high speed setting, it totally overpowers my other 5 or 6 fans in my case. I think if i have some time, I will rip that crappy fan out and replace it with a more efficient one.
Well, maybe I am the only one... :)
They are huge in the OEM market. They are pumping out 2 million units a month according to their website. There are hundreds of different choices for cases these days. Many of them come with Sparkle PSUs if you look closely.
