The HL2 source code leak made my local news... they called it a stolen digital blueprint...lol.
Anyways, I really hope they find the shithead that stole the source code, and I hope goes to prison and never ever gets to play Half-Life 2 in his life.
Even if this wasn't the prime reason the game got delayed, it had to be a part of it and it most definately slowed the Valve team down.
It's ridiculous... I swear to god some of these hackers need to get a life, all of them do really.

No I swear some of these Developers need to get a life. Who the hell is buying the 6 month ADDED delay because someone hacked and distributed the source code. COME ON GUYS!!! Stop being fooled, this smells like a scam from the beginning. A scammer should know when one is trying to scam. You guys are being hyped into this BS. See where it gets you for helping find the hacker! Six months longer delay. Everyone should have shut there fat mouths up and said nothing. They should not have made the source code so easily available. The blame is there fault too. I cant see why people are so quick to kiss a game developers *** just because he made a leet game the first time around. Good gracious I want a job where people dont mind if I slack off or make my own finish date and still look at you as if you mean something.

WOW you know how many games are leaked multiple times before they get close to release date? Almost all of them buddy. Its not hard to find them either, a IRC network and Newsgroup will basically get you any alpha or beta you want. Hell you could get Halo gold before it was out and I didnt see a push back.
Beretta makes a valid point. ALOT of games are leaked, but you don't see those game companies crying foul and delaying the release. Something is very fishy...imho.:o
