I was wondering if anybody knew of any good free-to-download-and-use software designed for making web pages. I don't really have the patience to learn HTML, and am just experimenting with creating a web page anyway. Thanks for any advise.

Huh. He says he doesn't want to learn HTML, and you show him a syntax high-lighting text editor. Me thinks you missed the point.
Sorry bud, I don't have an aswer to your questiong, you might try the "composer" tool that comes with mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org), I think it's fairly WYSIWYG, although it's been a long time since I've poked at it.
P.S. Just gave Composer a poke. Yes it's a WYSIWYG html editor. Can't say more than that though, you'll have to try it out and see if it's good for you. Good luck!
For the love of GOD DO NOT USE A WUSSYWIG EDITOR. Learn html if you have to, straight coding is the best way to make pages.
