Antec Smart 350w or new CPU to blame?

My vcore fluctuates so freakin' much it makes my head spin.

Do any of you have similar problems with a comparable rig?

With my old T-Bred A 1800+ @213x8.5 @1.7v, it would fluctuate very little under load.:)

Now with my CPU in the sig, I fear for my chip's life. It fluctuates quite a bit under load. I noticed that a higer MHZ increases the fluctuation and that there is more fluctuation on this chip at 1.7v than there was on the A chip at the same vcore.:confused: When idle, its pretty darn good though, but still worse than it was on the A.:D

I'm at 1.52v(haha, that's idle temp) now at 214x9.5 and the vcore is fluctuating. Never happened with the A...

I don't see how a CPU could cause this, but I'm open to suggestions. On the other had, I find it hard to believe that my rig is drawing enough juice to cripple my PSU.

So, is it my CPU or PSU?

Maybe I can help a bit on Monday. This isn't EXACTLY the same scenario, but....I'm replacing my HEC 350W with an Enermax 365FMA. My volts do fluctuate a bit, my 5V is like 4.8 undr high o/c and my 12V is like 12.25.

Let's about Monday. If I get more stable....maybe it'll be true for u also.....
