Hi guys,
I just got back from Compusa. I bought the larger window kit instead of the small one.
Now, I am having trouble fitting it on my Antec PLUS1080AMG. The window is slightly too much.

What should I do? Cut the acrylic window? If so, what tool? Dremel or jig saw?

I know the larger piece of gasket is to hold the window to the case together, but what does the skinnier one do?

C'mon guys! I still need to know what tool do i use to cut the acrylic. Will it melt if I use a jigsaw... dremel?????? What bit do I use?

use a fine toothed metal cutting bit in your jigsaw and take it slow.
A better choice might be to use a hacksaw or coping saw if you have one, and then smooth out after with sandpaper.
Ok, I'll go do that right now. I'm going to take an inch off the top of the acrylic... then work on the handle area.
Keep us updated! Those cases are so nice, what are you gonna do to show off that window?
I have an Athlon XP 3000+, Mushkin PC3200, Leadtek Ti4200 128MB, Epox 8RDA+ in there.
The cpu and the chipse is water cooled using Danger Den's finest.
So far, I made a few boo boos... but screw it, the computer will be just as fast :D
I'll take pics when its done. I'm still cutting the acrylic.
How much is the kit from CompUSA? I was just in Lowe's the other day checking out some Acryl for my upcoming window mod.. and dang I was kinda suprised at the expensiveness! :eek: It was like $9 for a sheet of Acrylic that would just fit to my specifications. :(

OK GUYS, I NEED YOUR HELP! I RAN INTO A BIG PROGLEM. I know others have successfully fit the window on using this exact kit, please let me know how you did it!!!
I have the window cut and the case door cut. They are cut pretty well.
Now, that BOS rubber is getting on my nerves. I try to stick on the hole I made in the case door, but it keeps ****ing popping out! I tried sticking it on the acrylic window, but that keeps poppoing out too!
this is bs, setting up water cooling is like cake compared to this!
...omg, i just thought of something as i type. I'm going to put that ***** (the rubber of course) in the microwave and maybe then it'll stick!

I would use super glue...Or you could try putting something on the edges of the window and case door to make it thicker, like duct tape.

I just called up my neighbor who I saw was trying to fit a window using this kit couple weeks ago. I didn't see the outcome, now I know why... he couldn't get that rubber to stay too.
Man, i see people in this forum with pics that were successful, i wonder where they are hiding now. I really need to get this POS to stick.
Super glue is an option too.
Instead of superglue, try something that will be pliable when dry, but still firm. I just put vinyl windows in the house and found window caulking/sealant is awesome stuff.
If you did part of the window one day and let it set up overnight, then do the second half the next day, it would stay in better.
Regardless of what you decide to use, doing the window in two steps may be the trick.

Boy, i got ripped.
That molding is IMPOSSIBLE to work with. I tried super glue, duck tape already...
I don't want to invest anymore into it.
Woe there big fellow. Don't panic... I have a feeling you all ready cut the window to small for the hole and you will have to use the window trim. The first you should have done was to throw that ugly black window trim away. You can attach your window using some good quality double sided tape. You can also buy some nice trim and use that if you are dead set on using trim.
Check out this thread to see what I am talking about. BTW I used a dremel to cut mine worked just fine just had to file the edges after ward.
