will this usb2 device work with usb1 ports?

I just bought this Kingston flash memory

It only says USB2, kingston also offers other flash memory that do say usb1.1/usb2. I thought they were backword compatible, working a lower speed but it worked

It should be backwards compatible with a 1.1 USB port.

I'm using a USB2 memory stick in a USB1.1 port at the moment. It depends slightly on your port (as there is no real standard for USB, other than USB2), but should work.

I'm worried it'll work at the computers at school that have usb1.1

ADD: found some review sites using google that say it does support usb1 :cool:
