cd drive?

when i put the cd in the cd drive, the Pc get slow......if a quit the cd, the pc be normal again....

And does this happen with just one particular CD or any CD?
What brand/model/how old is your CD drive?

when i put the cd the pc get slow if you don't use the cd the pc is normal, but if you are burning, or copying something from the cd to the pc, the case is when the pec read the cd..........

mi drive is a LG cdrewritable hl-dt-st-cd-rw-gce-8520d
only have four months...
this happen since a format the harddisk...and reinstall the windows

my pc:
windows xp pro sp1
Amd athlon xp 2000+ 1.67 ghz
256 ram
board msi intagrated

I think something did not get installed right on your machine.

What Interface is CDRW...USB?..IDE?.
Is the CDRW the only CD/DVD device if IDE....or do you also haave CD/DVD ROM etc..?

Re-install the CDRW drivers that are on the CD that came with the unit....
