TweakUI can do it along with some of the registry cleaners.
That is better than directly editing the registry.
And how can i do that?Quote:

Download TweakUI (a Google search will give you plenty of hits for places to download it). If you haven't installed SP1 for XP, you'll need to get an older version of TweakUI, since the latest version will not run without SP1 installed.
That said, I have TweakUI for XP/SP1 and I can't find anywhere in it to remove old entries from Add/Remove Programs.
To remove Add/Remove entries by editing the registry:
1. Go to Start>Run, type in "regedit" (without the quotes), click OK 2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Uninstall
2.In the right-hand pane, find and select the item that corresponds to the entry you want to remove. From the Registry editor menu bar, select Edit, Delete.
As always, be forwarned that incorrect editing in the registry can render your computer unbootable so be careful.
Sorry for the misinformation. I forget that I have a "special" version of TweakUI from MS.Quote:

Not that I know of. It is quite old, but still works.
I got it directly from MS during the Summer of 2000 when I was in Seattle. I can't distribute it.
