I'm looking into the sony ecrisson(spelling??) and I like the look of it. But I know looks aren't everything, so is there a better camera phone out there? And feel free to add suggestions about non-camera phones also. I just prefer a camera phone.

as do some shady individuals, which is why they are being banned from places everyday... even health clubs LOL, soon they wont be allowed anywhere, personally i don't find them as threatening as idiots who talk on their phones while driving, i sometimes find myself wondering why the idiot in front of me is driving 45mph in a 70...then it suddenly hits me, arm extended to ear... i get the sudden rush to fishtail the moron into a phone booth. i do believe motorola makes a very good camera phone.Quote:

If they are banned from some places, how will they know that the phone is a camera phone? Sometimes you don't even know if it's a camera phone until you use it.Quote:

Well, me personally after I've colected the money, I'm getting the Nokia 6600. Everyone that I've asked has told me this is so far, the best Nokia with a camera phone. Not only pictures, but video recording as well. Plus all the extras, such as Java, MP3 and all this. I think it should also have a new Snake in it. :p
I have the Sony T616. It's a very nice phone. The only complaint I have is that the screen can be very difficult to view under direct sunlight. Other than that it's proven to be a phenomenal little phone.
IMO talking on the phone while drive is fine as long as it does not cause the above to happen. I don't know what peoples problem is. I've never had it interfere with my speed or concentration. Although personally everything I'm ALLOWED to drive at is too slow. If your going less than the posted speed you need to get off the road period. I don't care if your handicapped or on a bike. If it interferes with your driving you don't need to be.Quote:

Also there are other reasons to stay away from a camera phone. The quaility is terrible. I took this picture of my real DC for someone. I think they are maybe up to 1.3mp but I would not count on them being much use.

I would suggest a Nokia 3650. It takes pictures at 640x480 which look decent. Will do movies as well with an extra application. Has an expansion slot for an MMC card. (Yes, you can have a cell phone with 512MB of storage :)) It runs on Symbian Series 60 for which there is an arrary of applications you can find for it. It also has bluetooth so you can connect it to your PDA and use the GPRS on the phone to surf the internet. I have had one for about eight months now and I love it. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. Good luck. :)
There has to be one phone that takes quality pictures.:confused:Quote:

Like I said the Nokia 3650 takes pretty good pictures. I could only find one picture I took with the phone that I have already uploaded and here it is. If you would like to see more feel free to ask, I have about 200 I need to get off my phone and on to my computer.Quote:

I mean, negate the girl in the picture, I think this is pretty good quality for a phone wouldn't you say?
Is that actual size? Most probably mine was so fuzzy because of lighting. Still it would be a joke to try to print that out. The best I would even hope for getting a decent picture is wallet size.Quote:

New Nokia 6820 should be here in the states soon.

Looks to be awesome, I have the 6800 and didn't think it could get any better.
I have a samsung P400, the picture quality when viewed on the phone is good, but the pictures come out too small really when viewed on a PC for anything other than as a gimmick. The cool thing about my phone is the swivle screen, which is 16bit colour, but even that loses its novelty after a while. However, when comparing the quality of the pictures with a sony erricson t616 the samsung had much a much greater ability to produce pictures with decent colour. Unfortunately it is useless in low lighting, not having a night setting. I would probably get the newer sgh-700, because it has a display on the outside and more options to do with taking photos. Plus, samsungs have 40-poly ringtones, which sound amazing. Anyway, thats just my two cents!
Yes, that is actual size. You are correct it would be a joke to print but it is a phone, and I think it does a good enough job for what it is.Quote:

Edit: The 3650 does have a night setting for taking pictures, but I am unsure of how well it works becuase I have never used it.
Guess I'll have to look into the nokia phones. Does anyone have first hand experience with the sony phones?
I remember a friend of mine used to have 6800, but that qwerty keyboard is so uncomfortable to use. I guess it's because of the size. Anyway not a bad phone indeed!Quote:
