Pre-Configured Foobars!!!!
Ok, enough of you kids whined that I went ahead and configured foobar for several different cards....these 3 versions of foobar should satisfy everyone's needs. And no, I have not tested them.
Insructions:
-download and install foobar 2k 0.8.2 from http://foobar2000.blogsite.org/
-If you use an Audigy 1 card, or something else that is 10k2 based (as most are) and uses 16bit, download http://oregonstate.edu/~moritaty/Foo...20(Audigy).rar Extract that and replace the installed foobar directory.
-If you use an Audigy 2 card (and it's variants), or something else that resamples and uses 24bit (as many do), download http://oregonstate.edu/~moritaty/Foo...0(audigy2).rar Extract that and replace the installed foobar directory.
-If you use some other card that does not resample internally, and accepts 32bit, download http://oregonstate.edu/~moritaty/Foo...resampling.rar and extract that, replacing your installed foobar directory.
This "preconfigured" version includes all of the necessary plugins, all configured for optimum sound. This also is preconfigured with the currently highest rated formatting string.
Other things you may want to do:
-restrict the database to only your music dirs (preferences > album list)
-install foo_looks:
check out http://www.btinternet.com/~sean.m.kelly/foo_looks/, and follow the guide at http://www.btinternet.com/%7esean.m....s/install.htm. (skins are at http://www.btinternet.com/~sean.m.ke...ks/gallery.htm)
No more whining!
