". One of the neat features that we were told about but did not get to see was the ability to use the environment to your advantage to shoot "around" a corner. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. uses a realistic ballistics model, which means that you can ricochet bullets off of surfaces, depending on the surface's density and the ballistic arc of the bullet."
"The multiplayer game will incorporate the day-night cycle that's in the single-player game, so the sun will rise and set during a match."

Man, if that stuff is even half as good as it sounds, it's gonna blow CS away (for me anyway, i know there's there world of die hards you couldn't bring to other ideas with a horny gorilla and a bottle of viagra).
Horny gorilla with a bottle of viagra does no make me think happy thoughts. :eek:Quote:

America's Army blew CS away. CS is an arcade style shooter, STALKER is going to be more of a realistic style shooter.Quote:

i think americas army is better than cs also, its so much realer and adds a tactical element to the gameplay.
its a shame theyve dropped coop... think that could have been very wicked.
I'd love ANY fps (doom3, Farcry, Stalker-style) with coop :(
And i do think my statement above was a bit misinterpreted... let's just say that the gorilla wasn't meant to invoke happy thoughts. Quite the contrary. I just mean that you couldn't change the mind of a true die-hard cs addict if you threatened him with that...
d00d, just do me a favor & keep that gorilla away from me pls. :eek:Quote:

As far as those CS Addicts i agree, moving on & enjoying new games/ experiences is more my preference also.
lmao, that gorilla line made me laugh good. :)Quote:

I used to be die-hard CS, 3 years ago, lol. CS is old, CS:Source will be my new addiction. :)
(And by the sounds of it, Stalker may be competition as well.)
CS fanatics? Because they've stayed with the same game for a while?
By that def anyone who played chess years would be a fanatic. Also i find it hard to buy that such a large population of gamers are all "fantics."
Calling them fantics is just a way to marginilize them and their influence on the gaming world.
There is no way you can compare CS and Stalker. CS is 6? years old and uses the HL engine to run, which isn't that realistic to be honest;). Apples and Oranges my friend, apples and oranges.
YAY! I wasn't quite sure STALKER was going to come with MP.
CS and STALKER comparisons aren't very "similar" for comparison ...
CS has different game play which is between tactical and run'n'gun ... STALKER will be much more tactical than CS because you will die in 2-3 shots (to the body) ...
