I haven't, but here are some reviews for you:

I just bought one (about $45 at Newegg) for a machine I'm building up...although, I'm kind of wondering if I should put my Fortissimo III in the new box and take the Catalina for myself ;)
It doesn't stand up to the competition. If you are mainly looking for a music card, get a Chaintech AV-710 for $25 @ newegg and call it a day. If you need a more balanced card (music, gaming, and 5.1/7.1) spend a little more for an Audigy 2 or Revo 5.1. The Catalina just isn't a good value IMHO.
I bought an Envy24 HT-S card for my new system, and it paled in comparison to my Fortissimo II. After a few days of trying to like the Envy, I put my Fortissimo II back in and am in sonic heaven. Your results may vary.Quote:

The Catalina isn't the -S version - it's the better chip.
I just read one of those reviews though, and it doesn't really keep the audio resolution (bit level) up...probably wouldn't be as good as the F3.
But, oh well - I have a feeling that when gaming, unless you compare both side-by-side you'd never know the difference anyway.
