I was quite surprised to see my kid brother drag something electronic-related into the house that had taste. I wasn't too excited though to see that it was another installment of RCT. So I installed it and optimised it for him and took my dinner. At first I was frankly appalled by the strange graphics. Namely, the peeps look more like Fido Dido and Noddy combined. The rides looked great though, but I still find myself wistfully thinking of Theme Park World. However, what I found imppressive was how they managed the interface changeover. Everything was very functional and not at all intimidating like RCT2 and 1. :) I was also happy to find that major gameplay elements had not changed much. The coolest thing however was how the Peeps moved about in groups, very cool. What surprised me even more was that the groups were based on templates, 'teens hanging out', 'Young married couple' ,'Father and son'. So on and so forth, very cool. This also helped get rid of the, almost nobody is sitting on my ride problem. Especially since everybody in the group follows the leader taste. So even if the kids in a family don't like to sit on the rollercoaster, mom and dad still drag them on. :D
Overall, its not a bad game that keeps the basic gameplay elements intact and introduces new ones. RCT is an excellent game and always will be.
I still prefer 2D IMO.
