Yes, it's a very good deal... if you just get vanilla, after rebates, it's $500 (+tax & shipping).

It's from Costco. I heard Office Depot has a better deal, but because of rebates and instant discounts, which are mostly rebates.
With costco
1050-laptop (a $750 instant discount)
50-mail in rebate
999.99-subtotal (+tax)
I'd consider the Office Depot, but that would require going directly to the store. Thats time, transportation, and more tax (because much gets taxed before the mail in rebate. The difference would only be $50. I'll suffer the tax and do it all form home instead!
Besides, Costco has a 6 month return policy (incase anything happens).
Yes, it's in-store only... but I still think it's better than many other sales... including Dell... I'm not very fond of Dell lappies... My brother was burned pretty badly by them... over-priced... My Compaq is awesome (!gasp!) for a lappie!!Quote:
