*spoiler* Shadow of the Colossus ending ? *spoiler*

I just finished Shadow of the Colossus and was wondering if there were multiple endings. When you are the colossus at the end, can you kill the people before they make it out of the temple? If you don't kill the people, can you avoid being sucked into the water fountain? Or do you always end up reverting to an infant?

I don't know, but I just thought that I'd point out that if that quote were taken out of context, it would sound like you'd gone completely, totally, 100% insane.
