x1900xt questions
I just stumbled across a bargain on a x1900xt. I was wondering if my power supply will suffice, before I go and install it. I have an Ultra xfinity 500 watter. I read somewhere that the 12v rail needs to be 30a or greater. The Ultra website says something about "dual rail technology" and shows an 18a and 16a. I'm just wondering if this thing will fry if I plug it in basically.
Also will I notice a big difference with this card over my x850 pro? I have a amd 3700+ with 1 gig of Ram. Thanks for the help.

The X1900XT has higher performance than the X850 - whether or not it makes any perceptible difference when gaming is debatable, and highly dependant on your games and the resolutions & settings you play at.
It sounds like your PSU should be fine...

Agreed. Together you have 34a. The main reason they split the rails into two is that over 20a it becomes unstable. Usually you'll run your processor off of one rail and the vid card off of the other.

I don't know much about "Ultra" PSUs, so I can't comment on that particular make or model of power supply and whether it will work with the card.
However, being an owner of an x1900XT, and an Enermax PSU with dual 12v rails with 18a on each, I can tell you, it's more than enough, even with the card and CPU overclocked.
