A 5 megapixel camera, an actual smartphone, and everything else that the iPhone does (except integrated storage)... Samsung's OSs are also very good (not Nokia good, but good) so this should be a keeper.
MicroSD cards currently don't go above 2GB, but once 4GB cards are introduced they should be around $100... definitely affordable.

Samsungs have always given me sh*tty signal quality. While the features are nice enough, and it looks nice, if it doesn't actually work good as a PHONE I'm going to pass on it.

I don't know about American networks, but I bought a Samsumg x830 and I have never had trouble in Austria's GSM network. I've used it in Vienna, in Graz and in the middle of nowhere when my friend had a car crash.
What excites me so much about the Samsung and LG "iPhone clones" (not that they are) is that they might finally get the whole smartphone concept right. So far, all smartphones that I've tried (even my Blackberry, but I find it to be the best compromise) had great feature sets but the implementation was never very good. I was surprised when Nokia's smartphones sucked, but I still have hopes for Samsung. I haven't had a single product from them in the past few years that disappointed me.
I've had nothing but problems with Samsung and LG phones. I stick with Nokia and Moto GSM and UMTS phones.

I have a RAZR and it's the best phone I've ever used. It's in the top 3 for signal quality on Verizon according to the people at howardforums.
Cingular RAZRs could be horrible, but *everything* on Cingular is horrible.
kinda blah bland... the interface seems bland, I dig the keyboard and microSD.... guess you can't have it all.
I've never had any functional issues with AT&T, AT&T Wireless, Cingular and now AT&T. They've never required me to sign a service contract either.Quote:
