ECS GeForce6100SM-M v1.0 IDE PROBLEM

I am using Vista Ultimate on my system, and for some reason, the IDE controller keeps going in and out... One minute, I'll be able to read and use a DVD, next min, nothing. I have tried everything I can think of, but I'm sure that the problem exists in the IDE controller driver. Nvidia has been nothing but a pain in the *** with my Vista, seeing as their video drivers suck *** as of late, also. I fixed THAT problem, now...I'd just like to be able to use my drives. LOL. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! :eek:
