Crysis : Paradise Lost
OK I am stuck. I am supposed to save Prophet from freezing to death, but my map marker remains by the initial cargo crate and wave after wave of Aliens keep coming. Even if I kill every alien that spawns (several waves of three) he eventually freezes to death, is my savegame bugged or am I missing something???? It is driving me nuts

I believe your further in the game, than me, thus far, Prophet was scooped up by one of the big blue things, I assumed he was killed instantly, I guess not, I should check my objectives more often, Thanks for the tip.
I wonder if any one is having trouble just loading/playing the game, as I don't see any post (in "help") for it.

I had trouble with this at first, because it isnt straight forward. You're not really killing the aliens. Instead, run him to the fires. to warm him up.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a go....I don't recall seeing any/many fires but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough ;)

I just went through that part of the game and it was VERY buggy for me. I was stuck for a bit, a lot of the time the flying creatures would just stop moving when dead, they would just float there.. basically the game was crashing. That happened a lot and I had to go back and back, making sure only to save when they "drop to the ground" dead.
I was also confused because that guy would never follow me and I couldn't find a way out. Little did I know that the end game wasn't being triggered because the flying creatures were not dying properly..
Once I did kill them all (never used that stupid gun Profit tried to give me) a Giant blue creature crashed into the rocks and opened up a path. But Profit STILL wouldn't follow me but once I breached the opened pass it triggered a new.. level I guess, then all of a sudden he was right behind me.
Buggy as ever, I couldn't see no fire's either (till the very end) but I could hear the crackling of flames and see darkened ground. Profit Healed up back to 100 health at these areas.
I have to say this Alien crap has ruined the game for me. I almost stopped playing after being in that Alien tunnel level for an hour.

I just finished the game, about 12-14 hours on the hardest difficulty level. It took me about 35 hours on the hardest difficulty on Far Cry.
The last third of Crysis sucked imo.

I guess I am having that same problem as I see no fires at all. I'll try and listen for them :(

There are no fires in the little canyon you are stuck in. You have to kill 4-5 waves of blue things then a giant blue thing will crash into the wall and open a path. On that path is where the fires will be.. well the sound of them.

yeah lead "profit" to the next fire ( green dot on yer map) , while his suit regenerates, blast away the baddies , move to the next one...the last spot is uphill, right under the bridge to the left - it's tough. You pretty much have to run there, and hope he survives - run and gun as fast as possible. Took me at least 5-6 times to get it right.

when you guys came down the hill to where you meet Prophet you did not see a burning car? once the big one crashes into the cliff/wall, you go through and theres a burning tank, then in the raviene, there is another buring car.

Yep, where Prophet first jumps in to save your butt, you *do* have to kill all the aliens before you can advance. As the others said, a path will eventually clear.
I would highly recommend using that gun Prophet gives you - it never runs out of ammo and is extremely strong. You just have to watch its meter while firing, as it "overheats" quickly, much like the turrets in vehicles/bunkers. It took me 2 reloads to realize I had to master that gun or almost certainly run out of ammo.
