Is a laptop cd tray supposed to work like a desktop tray? The tray on this laptop pops open when you push the button but does not retract or seem motorized.
That is normal, springloaded open, push back to close. There is a small hole on the side, you can open the tray without power by pushing a paperclip in.
That is normal. The drives are spring-loaded because adding a motor would add additional size, weight, and power draw on a device whose primary design criteria is portability over convenience.Quote:
