DeathSpank comes out on Tuesday, anyone been following this? Looks like a pretty sweet action RPG, and its got Ron Gilbert behind it, so I dont see how it could suck.
For only $15 I think itll be a release day download for me. Cant go wrong with Ron Gilbert for that price.
So I picked this up on Tuesday and got a couple hours in this week. I have to say Its pretty fun.
I havent found anything I dislike yet. I love the graphics. The NPC chatter and quests are hilarious. Theres tons of loot as befits an action RPG and its pretty funny stuff too. A mace with a boot on it, a log with a sword in it (or is that a sword with a log in it?) and a chicken cannon that launches chickens that attack enemies are all stuff I got in the first hour.
DeathSpank is all over the top but its one of the funniest games Ive played in a long time. For $15 I cant recommend it enough.
I also bought this (XBLA) and it really is quite fun. And the dialogue is excellent!
I plan on picking this up tonite if i have time, gonna see Inception before I do anything else after work.
Man that game is fun. It absorbed most of my free time this weekend.
I like to think of it as Diablo meets Psychonauts meets The Tick.
Very fun, I'm a little worried I'm almost done with it though.
*Edit: Finished the game this morning before work. 513 minutes of playtime recorded by the game itself. A good 90+ minutes of that was because I was stuck on a puzzle and couldn't deduce the answer. So 10 hrs. or less playtime to 100% the game. Very fun, very short.
