I'd really suggest double-checking your CPU temperature sensor connection before you get too excited...
Definitely make sure that it is setup correctly, but if it is then great! All this preaching for GlobalWin and Alpha is finally making a difference.. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/06/5.gif hahaQuote:

Sorry - I left out a piece of info - the mobo is BE-6II, and monitors temp directly off a sensor in the slocket. Wheeee!Quote:

Also, I am using arctic silver thermal compund - great stuff. And a Global win fan. Whooooosh!
Oh, I ran MadOnions 3dMark2000, scored a 4271, and the processor temp at the end of the test was 32, but settled to 29 within about two minutes.

One more thing: The construction of the Alpha is neat - I'd love to see how they machine it, all those little airfoil shapes.Quote:

That's pretty frosty.
My own celeron 533a idles at about 78F @ 800Mhz with 1.7v and 84F @ 896Mhz with 1.8v. I just have an Orb too. However, after about 45 minutes of heavy duty Q3 those temps can climb between 15-20F. That I believe is the main difference between the Alpha and GlobalWin's and my Orb.
