HELP, if u can.

okay...so i picked up a T-bird AXIA 1 gig (Y 3rd line & 266fsb) from pcnut.com. They tested it to be 1.33 on a KT7A-raid w/ 1.8V.

The problem is, when i try to OC it (@1.33 w/ 1.8V)..it doesnt even boot!!! HELP ANYONE..IDEAS? Im guessin its my HD, but i dunno...

this is my setup:

Lian li case PC-60
Enermax 350W dual fans
Alpha Pal 6035 w/ YS tech fan and AS II applied
ABIT KT7A-raid mb
256 Kingmax PC150 ram
Sound Blaster Live! (problem?)
Leadtek Geforce2 Pro GTS 32 ddr
IBM 5400 rpm ATA/66 15 gig HD
3com network card
Zoomfax 56K modem
Adaptec SCSI controller
cheesy floppy drive
SCSI CD reader and Writer

I got the latest 4-in-1 drivers from via, but i have not updated the bios to the latest.

According to the VIA hardware monitor, i idle at about 30-32C, case temp is about 26C. I havent tried to put it under full load yet.
i pretty much left the bios stuff on default..except when i try to OC..

Please help me?? Im up for any suggestions!!!

Are you o/c by FSB or Multi ?

Actually just by multiplier...
since the default is 7.5 * 133 = 1 gig.
i set it to 10 * 133.
i know it can be a variety of couples...did i miss something in the bios??

Might just be that it's not enough juice, can u go any higher, if so, try the next setting. Sometimes tests aren't accurate, and the cpu may need that .05 more. They're individuals, and don't all do the same. If that doesn't help, i don kno what.

i tried juicing it up! to 1.825, no good.
this bites! I'm going to probably have to take out everything and test it. Is it possible that my Old IBM Ata/66 HD cant handle the OC? I mean it alwys hangs at the beginning once it detects my IBM...

I don't think your peripherals are the problem. That board has native support for the 133MHz FSB. You left the FSB at 133MHz, which means the PCI and AGP buses are still in spec. As long as they are in spec, your CPU speed doesn't have any effect on them.

If you've upped the voltage as high as the board will go, and the chip still won't make 1.33GHz, I would say you got a processor that just won't do that...even though they "SUPPOSEDLY" tested it to that level.
