Really bad memory performance on new i815
My dad just got his new mobo, it is an Abit SE6. It uses the new i815 chipset, the one with ATA/100, but it also has onboard video and an AGP port.
The processor I am using is my PIII 667/133.
I have 3 sticks of 128 meg memory. The first is a Mushkin PC100 Rev. A
2nd is Class A Hyndai
3rd is some "Nanya" memory which says it is PC100, but the chips are marked 7.5 ns
I am running the bus at 133mhz so the processor is at 667 and all memory timings are at 2.
The processor benchmarks a little faster than on my i440BX, but the memory bench is trash. With all memory timings at 3 I was not even able to break 150mb/s. At 2 I got it to 250, but that is no where near my old performance on my i440BX of an ALU of 389 and an FPU of 443.
What do you think is the problem?
