These are some damn fine chips..........
Just got the Iwill ka266, 512 ddr ram, and a 1.2/266fsb AXIA core.
Well, after many hours of this and that and burning her in @9.5x146 (FSB board max, bummer), plus a remodding an Alpha Pep66 (Intel version), she it running a very nice 10x142. I can now post to 1470, where just two days ago 1400 stable was a REAL BIG PROBLEM.
Amazing, this CPU is taking to burnin' very well and I am sure has more in her. Maybe one of those big MC462's or whatever it is called will get her to 1500 or so down the road a bit.
As far as temps go, the CPU is dead on 10*c over ambient at idle and spikes another 3/4*c under load. All testing and burnin were done @1.825vre until now, upped it to the board max of 1.85 and and the temps are still holding the same. The little extra really stabilized this puppy out.
It would be nice to have more vre, but I guess for the inexperienced OC, not having the choices to really fry the chip out the gate..................
I thought my Slot A 900 Tbirdy on the K7V-T was fast and powerful @1150 (still is), but this is the entrance to a whole new dimension.
So far it can take whatever I throw at it to stress test and burn in.
