Epox Versus Iwill, Chris Chen take note

Same AXIA 1.2 gig, canned the IWILL KA266, now have the Epox 8K7A+.

IWILL was a piece of trouble, Epox very nice.

Both clock to the same MHZ, but the Epox will do it several ways, presently running 1540 (10x154 and very stable) and loving it.

No freezes, hauls ***, runs cooler, no voltage mod needed, what else can I say??

Just swapped M/B's, deleted and remove Ali stuff, let her redetect, cleaned up device manager in safe mode, added necessary drivers for new motherboard, easy as pie.

Not bad.

You have an Epox setup too??? Or are you talking about your ABIT setup????

This Epox is about the easiest conversion I have handled without a reformat and a reinstall.

MS over at Lost Circuits has gotten this board up to 167FSB, albeit he has some pretty awesome memory.

I am happy where she stand right now, precludes me having to get another piece o sillycon for a higher stable clock.

I have an Abit setup. I tried setting up Epox twice, but it doesn't work. I tried the exact same thing w/ the exact same hardware w/ the abit KT7a-RAID, booted up fine, and working now. So...Im' really confused. I might check the jumpers again.

Does it matter? No.

Ahh here we go again...

See how far it will go with the mulitpliers than bring it to that level with the fsb. Make sure you increase the cv, and the ram voltage is set to the max.

You will easily do 166, unless some of your AGP/PCI cards can't take it.

Come on, stable over 167, no way. Just try burning a CD, a 1/5 divider will be needed for sure.

167=PCI bus of 41, just about the outer limits for most cards, some will take more, others will balk, what have you been smoking???

I am running the 154 (10x154) stable, no prob,ems, runs benches, stressing proggies, burns and surfs on the fly, can you do this at 167 and beyond, honestly???

Yes it works 101% stable at 180.

Don't have any issues bro, you should of been here when I had the thread like "190FSB with Pics" etc.

I used to have a problem with burning cd's but that was fixed. So now I have tested it for over 48hr stress test, burning over 100 cd's, non-stop gaming for over 8 hrs, nop not a hic-up. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/06/5.gif

But it did take quite a bit of tweaking to get here, nothing too hard though. This one of the reasons why I say Epox 8K7A is #1 which it is.
