THe MP is the same as an XP, except that it's certified for MP use.
PLEASE, someone correct me if I'm wrong. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/06/5.gif

Whoever said "ignorance is bliss"??
I have heard that possibly the XP lacks cache snooping, but I have also been unable to verify this.Quote:

The cores are exactly the same. The only differences are the clock speeds and the MP certification. Also, MP's right now can be penciled, as opposed to the XP with it's funny packaging and L1's.

Overclockum, ergo sum.
So are you sure that the XP also has cache snooping capabilities?Quote:

Wait. You mean all that trouble with the new XPs and acrylic and all I have to do is buy an MP (yes a bit more $$$) and have no problem with the multipliers?Quote:

That would be nice. Yes, I would have to pay a bit more, but it would be worth it, i think.

Interesting considering that both CPU's have the same "organic" packaging. I'd rather get a slower clocked MP and have the multipliers unlocked.Quote:
