Right on Tin Tin..I'd say monitor or VidCard depending on your choices as well for being the highest costing component. Especially if you're using Flat Panel LCDs https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/06/6.gif

Hmm.. usually P4 motherboards are way less expensive than the Processor. I can get a Shuttle AV40 DDR board for around ~$100 whereas the Socket 478 1.7 Ghz P4 is around ~200+. If you wanted a P4 2.0 Ghz, you'd be spending around ~$450 minimum and that right there could be half or a third of your total costs. Depends on the chip.Quote:
