The BX chipset is made by Intel. The Via's are made by Via. Via competes with Intel for motherboard chipsets much in the same way AMD competes with Intel in the CPU market. In a nutshell, Intel makes chipsets for it's own processors. Via makes chipsets mainly for AMD's but also for Intel's too.
Aint competion grand! I wonder if we'll ever see Intel make a chipset for the AMDs to run on!?!? Hell would have to get mighty cold!!
