Abit KT7A Bios Problem
Ok....I'm not sure what I did to cause this condition but I did it whatever it was. When my machine boots up I now get the message "Bios checksum error" and then at the bottom of the screen it says "F1 to continue or Del to enter setup" Problem is when I try to enter setup I get a blank screen w/blue bar across the bottom. My computer will still boot into windows and runs just fine but how do I get into my Bios?

Reseat your ram and see if that clears up the problem.

This happened to me - the Abit bios seems bloody fragile to say the least. I solved it by clearing the cmos *and* taking the battery out for a few seconds.
At one point I was running an AGP graphics card (bog standard) and when I booted up I couldn't see the bios screen at all - so I escaped and windows booted with the most bizarre screen corruption I have seen - black trails following the mouse pointer - the whole shebang!
I had to switch back to a PCI card, and it's made me well nervous about tinkering with the board any further.
Good luck with solving your problem.
