Boot-delay with 3com
I get a 10-15 sec. boot-delay when WinMe is starting up... This only occurs when the
3com 3c905b tx and drivers is installed.
I've tried putting the card on another pci-slot and there are no conflicts.
I use WinME's drivers, everything works, it's
just that delay i wanna get rid of...
Any tips`?

Are you using DHCP or have you set the IP addresses in the windows networking. If youre using DHCP and there is no DHCP server availible (such as if you don't have one, and just installed and havn't set the IP's yet) there will be a delay. If you aren't using DHCP and havn't set the IP's do so and it should cure the problem.
If you have set the IP's then there is something else wrong, most likely its trying to find some network resources you specified that aren't there.

I use a spesified IP and subnet.
It turns out that i have the same problem
with the SMC 9432 NIC too. The problems occurs even though i remove the protocols.
There are no other adapters in the pc and no conflicts, tried several PCI slots.
Think the problem lies in WinME or on the mother-board. Tried several bios-settings as
well....
The funny thing is that everything works, it's just when the NIC's are initialized that the machine freezes for 10-15 sec.
This freeze also happens when i disable the NIC in Device Manager and enable it again...
