I think Morrowind looks the best... The engine isn't as advanced as that of Unreal 2, but the environments look so varied and original. I think it's the best looking on an artistic level.
Doom3 looks like it will have the best graphics from a technical standpoint, though. Technical schmechnical!
Yes I second Morrowind. The game was actually built for a GeForce4 and beyond. When the GF4 was announced that same day they showed off pictures of there engine from what it would look like with the GF3 card and what it looks like with the GF4 card and suprisingly there was a difference. Both looked damn good but the fact that the GeForce4's extra vertex/pixel shader and a bunch of other features made it look more eye popping.
um..you all have seen that little clip of doom3, right? Because after seeing that there is not much of a point in discussing this :p
LOL Doom III looks good...but not that good unless there was a newer clip that has come out since E3 :).
I'm sure we'll get another taste at this years E3 :D Can't wait to see what they have been doing. Atleast I hope we get to see a little more at this years E3 **crosses fingers**Quote:

Here is a link to a good site with reviews and screens.
http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/
or here,
http://www.elderscrolls.com/main.htm (very slow, ever since Morrowind went gold the site has been overloaded)
Yeah , where?Quote:

pro race driver, is the best racing game coming to the pc in my opinion. i still dont believe that this game just snuck up on my. the graphics are mindblowing. in some cases they are better than gt3, and other times they are on par with it
I go with UT2003 or Unreal 2. I have seen all the video clips and I just cant wait :D
But if we are talking about games over a year away...Doom 3

All I can say from personal experience is..............WOW........Morrowind is NOT going to disappoint anyone!
:)
I dunno how Morrowind could look much better on a GF4 than on a GF3...they're both basically the same thing. You will be able to run at higher resolutions with better FPS with a GF4, but otherwise they'll look the same.
My vote for best looking upcoming game would be Duke Nukem Forever, since it should be using a heavily modified Quake 4 engine by the time of it's release.
Is there a link for the compared screenshots?Quote:

Maybe better suited for the video card forum, but don't GF4's have full support of DX8.1 and some kind of advanced pixel shading? I've been out of the whole gf4 phenom so I'm out of the loop...Quote:

....
Are they really bascially the same card?
GF4 is faster than the GF3 thanks to Accuview FSAA (faster and supports higher resolutions), Lightspeed Memory Architecture II (I believe it's 4x 32 bit interfaces instead of 2x 64 bit interfaces - makes memory performance more efficient) and a second pixel shader, part of the nFinite Engine II.
However, 3D features list is basically the same as the Geforce 3.
Actually that's only partially true, GF3 supports PS 1.0 and 1.1, GF4 supports PS from 1.0 to 1.3 (ATi R8500 is still the only one to support 1.4)Quote:

not true at all, I've figured out everything about why it's taking so long to release.. They want it to look The Best Game Ever, so the use the most advanced engine available, they started with Q2 engine, moved Unreal Engine v.43x, now they'll propably move to Unreal Engine v.8xx, then to Doom3 engine etc etc, changing engine until there's games that look identical to real world, after that they decide, since all new games look like reality, they can't make it look any better, so they dump DNF :DQuote:

However that makes the GF4 no more DX8.1 complient than the GF3. DX8.1 spec states 1.4 pixel shaders, so the R8500 is basically the only true DX8.1 card.Quote:

After seeing the two movie demo's for Star Wars Galaxies it looks the best by far. C3PO looks like he's straight out of the movie on the one movie from the official sight.
Now there is no arguing about the best graphics. All you have to do is say one phrase.
DOOM 3!!!!!!!!
