Recommend me a no-frills, no-overclocking athlon board
Criteria 1: No frills. I don't need RAID, or gigabit ethernet, or firewire, or SATA, or fancy onboard sound.
Critiera 2: I don't overclock, so a board's overclocking potential doesn't concern me.
I was eyeballing the Aopen AK79D-400VN at 81$, but can't find any reviews on the hardware sites. So here's hoping that somebody here can say yea/nay on this board, or recommend another. Thankee much

What are you doing with it?
If it is a simple economy type rig you're building, check out these boards.

Unless you're going with the Barton 3200+ processor, and if you intend to do absolutely zero overclocking, all three of these boards will handle anything you can throw at them, and all three list for less than $70. The Shuttle AK38 goes for less than $50, and is THE most stable board I've ever stocked and or sold. Check them out and compare.:)

That's interesting. Now, I'd vote for the 8RDA+ - but for $50...???
Not that I doubt you, but will any other posts support this??
