Finally picked up Unreal II *56k warning*
-
-
im only on the third level.. taking my time enjoying the scenery...
i remember this one really cool part... on this one level, there was a flock of birds flying reallllly high in the sky.. they looked like dots... i pulled out the sniper rifle and zoomed in and say a perfectly modeled bird and shot it.. to my surprise it died and fell!
the storyline is kinda bogus and so is the voice acting/script.... but what can ya expect outta a fps thats not made by valve
the weapons are realllly cool.... i love the flamethrower and the acid grenades
so far.. i think this game is a fun and extremely pretty game.... most games, yu keep playing cause you want to know what happens next... in this game you keep playing cause you want to see how pretty the next level is :o

Hey I thought Unreal 2 was awesome. It wasn't that long, but long enough to drool for a while and have some fun wreaking havoc. The graphics are stunning, they just get crazier as you progress too. I would love to make some new levels for it, but the editor is crazy and I don't have a lot of time :(
-
It was short, the voice acting was bad, but I did enjoy the game and graphics. I just wished I could have enjoyed the graphics more. My poor video card just didn't have enough oomph to turn on much eye candy and still have playable frame rates. Even when I did get playable frame rates for the most part, still ran into a few spots that really bogged it down.
And yes, the flame thrower is cool. I saw your screenshot there where you were cooking those little spider things.
-
thanks to you i now know what game i wanna buy next ;)
-
I thought the graphics were amazing, the storyline was so-so.. But the ending sucked :( There was this part in the game that scared the poop out of me... When I was in the elevator...
But sadly the game was real short :(

ha ha he said poop but man its that scary huh cant wait to get to that part.

Thank god I'm on DSL or that would've been murder for me. But yeah the game was pretty and all but the story and voice/script wasn't all that great. I never got to finish it because I borrowed the game from a friend. I think I got about 1/2 way and just stopped playing.

DANG you got a Ti4400 and you cant play it :(. If thats the case i wont be able to even play it on a 1.33ghz t-bird a a gf3 ti200 with 256mb ram.

I was contemplating picking this game up for $30 when I was picking up some 4 to 3 pin connectors...instead I noticed "the thing" sitting there for $10 and I couldn't resist...going to install tonight and have some fun scary action :)
-
EEEEWWWW "The Thing" I really didnt like it.. Maybe it is because I only played it for about 30 minutes and died in the freezing cold since I couldnt find a key or the way in or whatnot... :(

Ran like CRAP on my P3 1Ghz, Geforce 2 GTS 64MB. Had to turned everthing to low and play at 800x600. Only got 20fps.:(
Gotta get a new system.:)
-
I dont think Unreal II ran like crap on my GF4 4400.. It ran rather well, but since I dont use AA/AF; the performace wasnt a big hit.. I averaged 30-40fps with very little dips...
I played it at 1024x768 or 1280x1024 I forget... With most if not everything enabled... Except AA/AF

:p Ya, its cool, but ur a little late :p
-
wow...the fire in that picture is amazing.

Had to ressurect this thread as I just finished the game today. TOo short for my liking, but on my 9500PRO the graphics were stunning, except for a few jaggeds on the characters. I kept staring at Aida's chest :D
It's freaking hard, but nothing god mode couldn't fix! :D

...and I kept staring at her 'gap'! Hey - some of us are sicker than others! LOL!!
Yeah - the graphics are nice, it's a good game to see what your rig can do in that dept. I ran it in 1280x1024, 6x/16x, etc and had no problem. Best when I had my 9800 o/c'ed though.
The ending bummed me out, I actually started to like Neban & Issac, and I thought the voice acting wasn't half bad. Go figure...
Weapon-wise, I liked the rocket launcher's guided rocket ability - very useful when defending the repair building. I also used the grenade launcher quite a bit - it made the fighting more interesting and challenging.
Now I'm back to playing WCIII- TFT and I'm getting bored!
-
Dudes, Aida looks like a prostitute.
Go look at real women :)
(yes, I did look at the twins and the gap too)
Though she's not the best made female character out there.
-
I may be showing my age a little, but 'gap' ? perhaps you were too bashful to say cameltoe?
Anyhow, it was a great game. I couldn't resist using some cheats. On the stage where you had to protect against the female invaders, I just started putting up as hundreds of rocket bots or whatever you call it. They took care of the job for me, no sweat :D
BTW, how did you guys retrieve that alien piece inside the well? I had to use a cheat to levitate myself out of there :D

I'm not sure I know which part of the game you mean...any other description?
Camel toe, gap - same thing! ;)

Cate Archer is definitely one of the best IMO. ;)

I had the same problem!!!!!!
Its the board with the living planet and it has hair all over the floor... And it has that big round exhaust vent that you die if you jump in :D
But its the well with the teeth around the edges...

YOu didn't get the cameltoe bit either? :o
Yeah that level was hard as hell. I think it owuld take days, if not weeks to clear if it wasn't for cheats. God bless the weak willed guy who had no patience and invented cheats :D
