Whos F**KING great idea was it to give it exclusively to Gamespot, now all the servers are swamped.!!! This wouldn't be a problem if the demo was more evenly distributed to more servers!!!

After about 10 try's within 1 minute I got in Dling at 75 Kb/sec approx 2 hours!!

I got it. Just had to be quick. I would host a BT for everybody but I've only got 30-40kb/s of upload bandwidth. If you guys think its worth it tell me how and I'll host it.

If someone wants to tell me how I'll host the file, I leave my server on 24/7 and I work all tommorrow so it would be good with the full file at least until around 9pm saturday.
What a joke was halfway trough the download and it quits, have to start all over again!!

I managed to get in quick and download at 220kb/s. But it won't play on my gefore 4 Ti4600 which really sucks as it is a hell of a lot more powerfull than some of the cards listed in the min specs. BF2 is not compatible with any Geforce 4 cards!

BTW fileshack has it for non-paying subscribers as well, although you gonna have to wait 160 minutes :eek:

Well at the time I subscribed, I was heavy into the LAN gaming scene, and invariably I'd be a LAN party and someone wouldn't be patched to the latest version or maybe try a mod etc. So waiting 40 minutes was 40 minutes of not playing. Plus the price is offset by a subscription to Computer Gaming World as well as some other tweaks. I don't mind paying for bandwidth as it's not like the file host sites can give bandwidth away for free when they have to pay for it themselves.Quote:

lol to the people in whatever thread who said no choppers, plenty of flying stuff around on large maps (Oman) but it can get sluggish, this is quite a power hungry game, just so nice........AWESOME just a few tweaks, I just was on a fast server and it can get sluggish....

It got released publicly on the FileShack servers, and guess what?! Estimate time till download begins - 70 minutes. Great... so I waited and clicked on the button to play a sound when it's ready. Obviously it didn't, and my window got expired! Great now I have to wait another 70 mins, sit here and watch it every 2 seconds so I don't miss it.
