I`ve never known of a Diablo game to come out early yet.
I don't want to over-hype it much but it's pretty much going to be the best game of all time. Still at least 2 years away, though. I better accomplish all my life goals before then because after it comes out i won't be leaving the computer much.
The game is looking pretty tight. I'm excited for it. First day purchase for me. Sc2 on the other hand...I'm not all that stoked about it.

I've NEVER (ok... 99%) paid retail price for a game... but with D3, I may have to make an exception!! :eek:
I loved the first two, however, they had a limited playtime for me. After defeating the game for the 2nd time(nightmare mode), I must admit I had little motivation to do the exact same areas for a 3rd time on hell difficulty. What are they doing to combat this problem on the 3rd game?
Don't get me wrong, I will still buy and enjoy it. However, I don't see this one being played 6 to 9 months after release. This is one of the many things I do like about the MMO genre, is that they keep you going with new areas on a regular basis so it doesn't get to stale.
I don't think it's wrong to "abandon" the game after several months... I hadn't played D2 since I finished it eons ago...
Never played D2. Is it worth playing even after all this time?
It absolutely is worth playing still. I loved teaminup up with people and just playing for hours on end. You will still be able to find plenty of people to play with too :)

I think it's gonna be a long while, but it's probably gonna be WAY worth the wait. In the meantime, maybe I'll finally pick up The Witcher to stoke my desire to grind out a few levels :-)
Ok... so now that the rumor is that it won't be out till at least 2011(!!) :(, I am moving onto Torchlight. It seems like a great fix for now!! :D
Torchlight is a fun game and all, but it doesn't have near the depth of something like Diablo. I'd wager Torchlight will hold most people's RPG fix for 2 weeks at the most, and after that we're right back to the waiting game :p
Blizz should just not report that they are working on a game until 3 months before launch, waiting is no fun
