Is serious sam available on steam?

I love that game for one reason: mindless killing of neverending hordes of enemies. Strategy? No! Just kill. :D

I never liked Serious Sam 2......very bad game, and pure console crap.

Guys, if anyone hears of the availability of SSFE HD, please post here to let us know....I know many here had a blast with SS back then, and would love to play the HD version of it when it's out.

That's up to you...the first one was well worth 20 bucks. For a company to release an awesome game at this price point -- when other new games are coming out at $50 -- I have no problem paying 18 bucks. :D

Kinda feels like paying $20 for a game I already own though...even though the graphics upgrade probably took a good deal of effort it's the same game overall.

Hey, I have SSFE, SSSE and SS2, but this game's gonna put a big smile on my face as I love the original, and this one has a massive gfx upgrade (and you guys KNOW what a gfx ho I am :o ), plus some added features for those who play co-op/online (not a major concern for me as I play SP only).

If you don't want to buy it, don't...but if you're willing to spend $40-50 for a new game, I don't see what the problem is with paying $20 for a game, and then another $18 for a complete graphical overhaul a few years later. :)

So you only play L4D and Serious Sam single player. There may be something wrong with you :p

Well I'm a cheapo so I don't spend $40-50 on any games :D

I remember Serious Sam II (not the second encounter) being pretty fun. Might have to play that again pretty soon if I can convince some friends to play.

Freddy part deux

Serious Sam II, the 2nd Encounter made a huge impression on me but when I tried the first serious sam it was pretty lame in comparison. Not sure new graphics are going to help it but maybe.

Now I hope this game is successful because maybe it will spark a new trend redo all those old classics. I just bought Dark Forces (1995) on steam and I've never seen such large pixels. I'm surprised anyone ever played graphics like that.

But I would like to see System Shock be redone a bunch of other too.

So vote with your wallet as everyone says. Buy the HD-redo and they will be inclined to redo more of the classics in HD.

In Serious Sam the 2nd encounter... I hate to say this but both times I played the game and loved it but both times, years apart, I got stuck in the same damn level and quit the game so I have never seen the end.

It was that level where you bounce up and down like popcorn. Hell I even put on some cheats and couldn't get past it:mad:
