Well I have been trying to fold for the last 10 days or so :D
So... I was wondering if the time it takes to complete this protein is decent :)
Its P1041_A21unf_337_GS
6.5 minutes per frame... I am using FAH LogStats to see that detail...
Its a 2.4c @ 3.3Ghz pushing 800 points a week... Estimated...
the Applebred Express. :DQuote:

Colossus i'd say that looks like a decent time. but what do you mean "trying" to fold?
Well Im giving it a shot.. But it still causes my explorer to act weird.. Such as hover over popups.. If I hover over items in my tasktray the name would not be correct for that item... So lets say I have the following in my taskbar...Quote:

1. F&H GUI
2. ICQ
3. USB device tool
4. F&H Stats
Now if I place my mouse over ICQ.. It would say F&H, If I place my mouse over F&H it would say USB devices... etc...
That really annoys me...
It does the same thing to ANY item in my taskbar or tasktray...
I've noticed that happening as well, Colossus. I figured it was due to either the CPU being worked so hard or a bug in F@H.
I am inclined to believe a bug :) Since it works just fine with SETI and a different type of folding program...Quote:

Gorn, what rigs do you have running 24/7.
Looks like more than you have lonewolfroger!
Normaly I have a (x2)P4 2.4 and 2.25 XP. But since the engineering department at my work was off last week I added another P4 2.4 & 3.0 also a XP-1600 They all go back to engineering on monday :(Quote:

You should have pulled further ahead of me, with what you have folding. I only have my 2100+ and 1600+ going and I did not fold with them for almost a full day. Yet I`m staying close to you, just wondered why.Quote:

Yes, saps has a real life and he has been attending to it lately :)Quote:

Try running F@H as a service. I had the same problem and then I started folding as a service and the problem went away.Quote:

My production during the past 2 weeks was cut in half by the loss of 8Ghz of P4 power I normally had access to 40 hours a week. That equated to several hundred points a week for me. Starting Monday that should return to me maybe not enough to hold off my chasers but likely enough to delay their overtaking me a bit.Quote:

Where is he by the way? Haven’t seen a post by him in a while.
This is slightly OT but December was a busy one for me. My wife gave birth to our second child and first daugther. However, she had complications so SF became a virtual non-issue for me. At least my home PC was folding 24/7 though ;). Seriously though I'm still very much here but as always I am grounded on my priorities. Also at the risk of being too egotistical please if you'd like to make a comment on the above news I shared here please do so via PM and not this thread; let's not over-OT this thread. As some of you know there are growing complaints against "Folding OT." I certainly don't want to be the source for OT in this thread so let's stay focused.

how do you do that?
put -service as a flag in your target line
sapasion: Congrats to you, your wife and new baby daughter. Trust me, you will blink and she will be in college!:) I'm approaching 15K and it is dedicated to the sapasion family on the joy of a sweet baby girl:D (PS. I live in a house with 4 women - my wife and 3 daughters:eek: )
Woops, sorry forum admins! Got carried away with the congrats!
Your right, I guess i answered your original question wrong. I have no rigs that fold 24/7. My [email protected] is my home work/gaming rig. I have to shut down folding while I game or work 2-5 hours per day. All the other PC's are from work and are run only at night. I spent about 10 days at sharky's team position 21. But since we had 2, 4 day weekends I got to add a couple PC and the ones I had ran more. Monday I will be back to my normal production. Oh yea all the P4's are Dells they don't seem to do real great for some reason.Quote:

the team sure has been moving along guys. congratulations on everything! i am still not able to get my computer back up and running yet since i won't be able to get back to my dorm room until the 13th (late in the evening) of this month. luckily, though, i was able to sneak a bunch of work in. we had to be out of the dorms by noon on the 20th. we were suposed to shut our computers down but i left mine up and running (and folding) and just hoped it could stay on as long as possible. wasn't util the 23rd that it was turned off! ;)
Colossus, i've also had this problem and may have to try running it as a service to see if it works for me, but what i have found is that if you want to see the correct info you just have to move off of the little icon and then move back onto it and it should display the correct info (as long as you don't move your cursor over another icon). this really isn't a fix so i don't know how beneficial it is to you, but thought i might as well mention it.
all three of my 24/7 systems have been down this weekend :(
i'm currently at a LAN with them, my main rig getting a lot of gaming use, obviously, and my other 2 are acting as servers, so they're pretty busy too. my 2 part timers are still at home, but it doesn't look like they've turned in anything in the past 2 days...
FYI: I also have a 1.46ghz system and the recent folding packet has been running for 18 hours, I'm at 27%. (oh and the Pack ID is p684_TZ2_EXT_EXP) So, It looks like it 'WILL' take 5 times as long.Quote:

I guess you're talking about 683 or 684, they take about 22 hours to complete on my p4 1.4Ghz
Another thing, yesterday I made a trip into Montreal to see LotR and left my computer running with just the F@H window open. (I turned off the monitor but left the comp running) There were no other tasks running so it had full reign of my CPU.
It will surely be the most expensive (time-wise) 60 points to date for me. It just does not seem right that something that takes 5 days of processing power be worth just 60 points.
Oh well, nothing I can do about it, so as they say, what you can not change you must endure. ;)
Cheers! :D
A little fsb and some additional vcore, perhaps a change on the multiplier and a new fan. You’ll be knocking whole minutes off of those segment times:D
OMG me to. Ages 14, 8 & 5. That plus I just realized we live very close to one another. Maybe I have seen you a a soccer match. lolQuote:

yep, that's how it works for me, too. i think it's just a little glitch in the program.Quote:

Me three, but I know there is SOMETHING that triggers it. After a reboot it usually doesn't happen, then at some point it will start doing the sys tray thing and continue until the next reboot.Quote:
