I tried folding on my foot rest (Dell XPS 266Mhz)
And it would take 235 hours to complete! 2.24 hours per frame...

I was just looking at Statman, and I see that our Leader is still clinging to the top 10. IIRC, some of you guys were talking about passing him right after the new year. What happened? You guys slacking off or something?
I don't remember making such a boast, but I'm sposed to take him in a week. He seems to have ramped up again (230 in the last 24 hours) - I think he's just toying with us. The threat of dropping out of the top 10 must be just too much :)

Forget not that I lost 8Ghz of P4 power during the past two work weeks. Before Christmas I was near 1500 points a week. But I've added that and a little something extra ;)

I'm baaaackkk!! I've figured out how to connect to the net using our crossover cable through my brother's comp. I'll be sending in a wu pretty soon. My brother is also folding now, who i named "speedyaxon's brother", i know, real original. He has a wu in queue and is half done with another. He would have sent in one already, but i forgot to enter the team number(doh!).:( So it's good to be back.:D
Glad so many guns are coming back v55 seems like he's starting up and and mu_ohio hopefully is back soon. I really hope to see our team over 12K a day real soon.

I actually started my 5 PCs up and add a 6th P4 2.4 to my mix. Hopefully that will get me around 400 points daily. I was gone most of hte holiday and was not able to do any folding, but I'm back as of noon today.
as soon as i buy a motherboard for my 2100+ then i'll have another amd in my power! :D

Will that work with just one computer or does it have to be more then one, I can`t get it to work on mine.

Just point it to the directory where the main exe is located.. and it will read the files.. Now on machines that are not local.. Just share the directory like I did and \\unc to it... And it works just great :)

it should....when it asks for a target when you set it up, did you point to the .exe client or the core? i think you need to point to the client, that's what i have all my systems setup with, and it works fine.Quote:

It did not ask for a target when I set it up, did I download the wrong one, I downloaded the exe. not the scource. I did try pointing it to the 3.25beta in settings and no go. I put this in settings C:\Program Files\Folding@Home\3.25beta is that the way it is suppose to be done.Quote:

I know my ~900 pts/week isn't a whole lot, but I'm back up and folding again. (power went out at my apt a week or two ago while I was away for break)
in the left pane, click the settings link, then under the F2H clients tab, click the add button....it'll as for a name for the client (call it whatever you want, in colossus' case he's named them whatever speed proc the system has, in my case it's the same as the computer name on the network). it'll also ask you where the local or windows share is located....this is what you need to point to your F@H client .exe file....don't worry about the FTP stuff, that's for monitoring systems on other networks.Quote:

yeah, it's an incredibly handy program if you're running multiple systems with folding....i have 5 here, and i can check the progress on them all without even getting out of my chair :D
I`ve only got my two computers folding, so I`m just going to set it up on each computer. BTW, on a side note I`m finally back in the yellow at EOC, not bad for just two computers.Quote:
