Considering getting a new vid card when it craps out, or when it cant play the newly released game smoothly.

my first day on these forums but have been reading them for a couple of years now!
Well my first score i.e. just running the benchmark for the first time is 7992 marks. This is with everything set at standard and running asus 29.40b drivers.
I'm sure that the detonators 29.42 from Nvidia and me turning off the browser and background programs next time will push it up a little. But I'm quite happy. All the games I'm running run fine.
I scored a 5438 with a mildly overclocked GeForce 4 Ti4200, and a AMD Athlon 700. This card is definately overkill for this processor.

My Duron 800, 256 PC133 SDRAM with a 32mb TNT2 scored
830 under 3DMark2001 SE. With a 64mb Voodoo 5 it gets 1255.
On the other hand my Athlon 1.2 with the same memory specs used to get 1780 with the same Voodoo5 card. But now scores a measly 3380 with a GeForce4MX 440 64mb DDR. The same card (GF4MX) scores 2680 on my Duron 800 rig.
Finally my PIII 450 rig with 256 PC133 SDRAM gets 1560 with a Geforce2MX 64mb. It used to score 538 when it used a 16mb Voodoo Banshee. LOL!
I finally got threw it without it locking up on me and I got 350!:( See link in sig.
