how do they do it? hijack an office building and set all of their computers to folding? that is an impresive number. and way to go to the team! how has the number of members been? i haven't been keeping track? is it starting to peak? or has it alread happened?Quote:

Most likly small LANs, but it could be stacks. I really don't understand how people get permission to set it up on business systems. But I guess it's the same mind set that let Blaster into so many small LAN's.
This is really odd, but after installing the 4.00 version, I seem to be stuck on Tinkers with -advmethods set. I deleted the work files and it only sends me more. Anyone having problems with this?
After finishing, both of my WU`s on both my computers, which one has the 3.25 beta and the other has the 4.0, they both downloaded the 65 core and both are now working on tinkers, they did this to me before, but this is the first time they put them on both my rigs.Quote:

I've got 6 tinkers running out of 10 machines. Seems like the last day or so they are pushing the tinkers.

I'm guessing that all the server problems Stanford has been having lately might be at least indirectly related to too many people using advmethods and getting Gromacs. That or they are overriding the advemthods so as to eleviate some strain on those specific servers.
How do you know its a tinker?
When I check my F&H LogStats, the protein core is Gromacs...
But I have been getting some weird long ones...I have two 53.77 points processing now a 32 point and a 51.40 and a 60 point...

I just noticed that they changed servers on me and thats how I ended up getting my last tinker, but after getting one Tinker the rest were Gromacs. Edit to add: I will know in about an hour, thats when I finish both of these Tinkers.

hmm....i've recently turned in units on most of my rigs, but i've pulled more gromacs to work on, no tinkers here....running 3.25 beta -advmethods -forceasm on all my systems.
I hope you don`t get any, but who knows.:) BTW, I was using the 3.25 beta on one of my computers and had -advmethods on both my computers.Quote:

I dont think I am getting the SSE boost. In my log file all I can see is 3dnow boost. I have both -advmethods -forceSSE flags going and running v4.0 . Am I doing something wrong?
Did you delete the 3.24 from the startup menu and put in a copy of the 4.0 desktop shortcut with the -advmethods and -forceSSE in its place.Quote:

If I wanted to replace anyone with speed... I would just fold on every last machine... I dont fold on machines that I cannot spare the cycles for...
I was j/k, I was already going to get me a 2500+ and put the 2100+ in the other computer so that I could free up my main computer more often and still be puting out a reasonable amount of WU`s.Quote:
