Ok..you are right about that, I forgot they don't really have anyone else. So he is starter by default, and they are just doomed.

Feeley is a very good QB in the Eagles offense. I would say he is a sytem QB along the lines of Jeff Garcia, not as good obviously. He looked bad when he went to Miami, but he was good for us before he left and in the game he played last year he carved Atlanta's starting team (I know still not the Ravens, 85 Bears or 91 eagles defense) up with our 2nd team offense.

I would say the Eagles with Feeley starting are still a much better team than the Giants.

Good I hate Vick, always have... and I am a dog lover, this makes me hate Vick even more.

Screw Vick, he belongs in jail.

I hate Vick so much when I play Madden and they show him I flip him off and say go to hell. Yeah I flip off a polygonal version of Vick, but it makes me happy.

Two different situations, dog bodies on his property is one thing, conspiracy is another. It is easily possible that they prove the fights happened and there was a dog fighting ring going on, so he would be punished for owning the property where it happened, but at the same time they could not be able to prove that he had any knowledge that it was going on. Again, I'm not saying that he's innocent, I'm just saying it's too early for endorsers to be cancelling contracts with him since he hasn't been convicted of anything yet.

In an interesting development, the cousin of Vick's that owns the house has NOT shown up on any documents as a defendant, though the documents do note that there are 4 witnesses who are remaining unnamed...sounds like a turncoat in their midst.

Also looks like there is starting to be some distance being put between Vick and everybody else. Nike has now postponed/cancelled the release of his shoe, and now it is being reported that the Falcons and the NFL are urging him to take a paid leave of absence for the coming season.

Jacksonville is probably the best fit, but I think he is at best, a back up. I doubt he will regain his 2004 form. I just hope he doesn't end up a Raider. Does anyone think he is worthy of starting? Maybe he will go to Atlanta. At least he stays out of jail.

I don't think he'll walk straight into a starting job, but his odds look pretty good if he goes someplace like Jacksonville who is known to not be all that confident in their current QBs.

I don't understand this at all... Gruden has some freakin QB fetish. I think he just doesn't trust any of his QBs.

He kind of reminds me of me when I play football video games, actually. :D I always have a real hard time parting with QBs and LBs in franchise modes, so I always end up with way more of them than I need on the roster.

Vick is icky. I was surprised at Emmit Smiths defence of Vick. He said that there was 5 or 10 dog fights, but they were squeezing Vick to get the big guys. I lost a lot of respect for Smith. He was a classy player, but he defends Vick and doesn't worry about the dogfights. He was classy on the field, to bad he didn't keep his mouth shut off the fiels. Vick will probably be on paid leave before training camp starts this thursday. I doubt Atlanta wants to go thru the circus. He does have a right to earn money while on trial. But Atlanta needs to worry about next season and the fans. Plus he has been called a coach killer and the new coach might want to change things up.

he's also a fantasy footballer killer... they should have just listed him as a hybrid RB with QB like abilities, too late now since it's doubtful he will play again.

I think I can see the point Emmitt was getting at, that being that Vick is getting all the publicity even though he's probably not the biggest fish in the pond, but Emmitt just went about saying it in a really unfortunate way. Honestly, since I've been in Dallas and have seen more interviews and such with him, I really think that Emmitt is a great football player, and a knowledgeable football player, but he is pretty dumb in most other walks of life.

Hopefully you are right. If what he is charged with is true, he is a classless act and should never be in the nfl again. I wouldn't even want him in arena leagues.

Anyone notice that during the lul around training camp, they have a bad character story the talking heads repeat ad naseum? Last year it was Owens (who is self centered, but doesn't seem to break the law, or is least not a alleged dog killer). The year before I think it was Keyshawn, before that it was Ray Lewis. They just need something to drone on about. But this year it is a real sad story.

mindwarper - yeah, and you can bet that during MNF they will pan back to the booth between plays and start vicking us again and make us miss 3 or 4 plays ala madden & michaels with TO... on and on and on not calling ANY action.

Anyone surprized that mnf kept the idiot and got rid of Theissman? He was biased, but at least he knew football. I can't stand the other guy , I forget his name, but he sure is anoying.

I've always thought Theissman was a jackass and so full of himself. I have to admit though, that he has gotten better the last few years about being less conceited. I for one am happy they got rid of him.

As an Eagles fan, I am ecstatic that they dumped a redskins homer for a Philly homer. Jaworski does a good job of being impartial when he has done stuff for ESPN in the past, but when he does the Eagles preseason games, he just loves everything about the team.

I think if they can manage to talk more about the game this year, it will be a big improvement.
