ESPN decided Friday "as part of an annual evaluation" not to exercise an option in Irvin's contract, it was confirmed Saturday.
I dont really care either way. Commentators on average are annoying. But its funny, you kind of need them. I tried watching a game with no sound but that was even worse for some reason.Quote:

ESPN called Irvin a "Public relations nightmare".... IMO there are a couple other guys that deserved to be in the hall before him, but it's over so.
Norv Turner leaves SF for SD

I think Norv Turner will be a good fit for SD. I was surprised he didn't get the job in Dallas. I figured it would be between him and Rex Ryan.
Lions games a broadcast on FM as well as AM here so thats a plus, usually no high pitched buzzing noise.Quote:

How can you say that if the guy who has the worst record in the NFL over his career as president wins 7 games (which would be his first non double digit loss season) that he will be kept on staff?! At what point do they realize this isn't the guy to do anything but change coaches and players at random so that we are ALWAYS rebuilding.
Another intersting point they brought up on the radio was would you root for your team to go 2-14 if it meant Millen would get fired? I would like to say yes, but I'm a Lions fan. I want them to win every game.
