pats are #1, they got moss and stallworth, stallworth is good when he isn't playing the "my leg hurts" card... and they got adelius thomas, they have already won the super bowl, it's just that they have to wait till feb to receive it.
I think that the Colts are the worst SB Champs in recent memory.Quote:

My money is on the Colts having an off year.
I say indy is the team to beat regardless of who is on their team as long as they have Peyton. He got the monkey off his back, I expect a good 3 SB victorys in the next 5 years from Indy.
I still think they will be good, and I am not saying they don't have a chance or anything, but lossing a left tackle is huge, especially for a timing offense. It has always been hard to get pressure on Manning, but when you did you could beat him. They are still a top team but i would not rank them #1 at this time.
stokely doesn't count, he was a non factor last season... they lost good players I agree and it will cost them.
I TOTALLY don't think so.Quote:

I heard a joke. The prosecutor gave Vick a plea bargain. 5 years in prison or one year as a Raider :)
I don't see the colts repeating. They still haven't addressed the d that much.
It was a freak occurence that they even won last year with such a bad run D.Quote:

I had the impression that June wasn't much of a run stopper anyway.
Me too.Quote:

Not usually well reknown as a run stopping position.
But he certainly was not reknown as a blitzer either. Which makes me wonder... why exactly was he voted to the Pro Bowl? As a coverage linebacker? And even if so... he doesn't even strike me as being as good in this area as say Derrick Brooks or William Thomas used to be.
Well... shows how much I know.
He led the Colts with tackles with 142.
Still... don't know if that qualifies him as a good "run stopper"... if those tackles are occuring more downfield.
Calvin Johnson signed. Did I tell anyone we're winning the NFC North this year? Chicago who?
Ya the colts run d sucked last season, but they stepped up when it was important, in the playoffs. It's an issue, but after the turn around they made last season it's not that big of a factor.

I don't think Chicago is gonna win near as many games as last year. Seahawks, Saints and Eagles in the NFC this year.Quote:

Game on! The Saints-Steelers preseason game is on the NFL network right now.
damn my cable service, no nfl network. At least saturday I'll get to watch the giants
I agree the Bears were a lot less scary by playoff time last year. Grossman is a buffoon but it's the D that keeps them afloat.
I'd love to see the Lions take it to them this year, since the Vikings and Pack will probably still be a joke.
It was an ok game. The steelers looked good, the saints looked bad. I liked Collinsworth announcing. He didn't pull any punches. I actually agreed with him on Vick, retired players grievances, Al Davis, and a few other comments. It was a fake game, but at least it was football. I'm not sure why I cheer on players that probably won't make the roster. Why don't we have 2 preseason games, and 18 regular season games?

Agree. Take away 2 preseason games and add a regular season game :DQuote:

I wouldn't say the Colts winning SuperBowl was a fluke. They stepped their game up, and time after time they kept delivering. Yea the run defense sucked a huge one, but they pressed past it and proved everyone wrong (what a crazy superbowl anyway, especially the opening kickoff lol).... do I see them repeating? No. Do I see them wininng in the future... possibly.
I don't care!
I JUST WANT FOOTBALL BACK ON TV. ITS THE ONLY TIME I CAN WATCH SPORTS, EAT PIZZA, AND DRINK BEER ALL WHILE BEING W/ MY G/F AND HER NOT COMPLAINING!!!!
/rant LOL
There was a preseason game on today?
