Damn, your hardware and o/c are very reminiscent of my old o/c and bench... But my new one's in the sig. Mind you it's not stable by any means of the word. Just can get through 3D Mark fine.
But that's a great score for a R9700 Pro!:D

Cool thanks, like I said I don't have any previous experience with current Intel systems (my last one was a Pentium 133!! ) So it helps to get advice and comments on this one. Lucky for me these are pretty popular components (thats part of the reason I got them) so finding people with similar setups isn't too hard. :)Quote:

Great scores!!! Keep em coming!!!
All scores were updated! Well the ones I noticed.. So if I miss one let me know :)
thnx
thanks Colossus.
Hey Chuck232, I'm guessing that memory helped you get your CPU to 3.3Ghz right? I couldn't break 3.06 on mine with Corsair 3200, but I just got some Hyper X 3500 and got it to 3.17. Also what vCore did you run with that?
I'm thining of getting better cooling for the 9700P or maybe selling it and putting in the difference for a 9800P...not really sure yet.
Yeah, before I was stuck at ~3.17G as my max o/c. Now I've pushed 3.3GHz (1.625V) and can probably go further, cause this RAM is a beast. Too bad my CPU doesn't really seem to be up to the challenge though...:( :o

On a side note I don't have the AMD system that I originally joined the team with, but I plan on rebuilding it eventually (still have the mobo, case, memory, ect.) So if you wanna just change my old specs to my new ones that'd be great. Anyway here they are:

Oh and I noticed you added fields for cooling but I don't know the new layout format so my cooling is CPU: SLK-900U/TT Smartfan II, GPU: stock
How's the score for my setup on air? I'm not sure I can push it anymore hardware wise and I haven't ever benched an Intel machine before, so I'm not sure how to gauge this. Looks pretty decent when I compare with similar setups w/9700Pro. Any input?
Very nice score:D , but you can do much better. 20K should be withing your reach. My best score with my 9700P was 20173. I had my card clocked at 432/353. To do this I had two extra fans blowing on the VC. 1 120mm on top blowing down on the card and 1 80mm below, blowing accross the bottom of the card. These 2 fans made a huge difference in my overclock of the card. Keep pushing and you will go far with that 9700P
Well, Hell great ball of fire...crap, crap, crap I was just playing around trying to get a little more out of this thing and I think my motherboard and 5900 ultra just went bye bye. Oh well life in the big city. Guess I am off to get another IC7-G and a new 5900 ultra. I just hope it is as good or better that this one was. hummmmm....think I will try the corsair pc4000 any feed back on that memory is welcome!!!!
Why do you think they're dead?Quote:

-and going to try some of that PC4000 stuff huh??
Maybe i should jump over to intel!! :) :)
Well, the MB lost one of the drivers or the chip for the 1394 host controller is gone. yellow question mark in devise manager and I can not install the driver no matter how hard I try. as for the card it has sprits all over it. it acts as if it is running hot all the time
Ryder
 think you should give up on that AMD. Intel :D has a faster processor and it runs a lot cooler  than AMD does. 2.2 is a far cry from 3.8 bro
Sounds to me like your system (Windows) is corrupted, and could possibly be overclocking your card without your "permission". Have you tried reformatting and reinstalling Windows? You should definately try that before springing for a new mobo and video card. :eek:Quote:

Yea, I thought the same thing that windows xp took a hike. Did the whole nine yards from start to finish....same thing...something went south. At least I still have the ability to take them back and exchange them for new (but time is a running out fast).
Im sorry for your problems Mark, But I can understand.. I lost a 9800 Pro :(
But I dont understand how the board is affected... But good luck on the exchange :)
Look what I found!!! *lol*

Ahhh I'd love to hit 20k but I'm doubting the CPU//memory/mobo can do anymore. The 9700P could because right now its stock cooling. I was gonna go pick up some sort of 3rd party air cooling for it, Zalman or I was looking at the TT Giant. But even if I can push just the card higher, is it really gonna get me to 20k? I doubt it.
You guys have an opinion on the TT Giant?
The GiantII rocks. Just lap the base that contacts the GPU die. TT does a pretty crappy job of prep'ing the surface. Make sure you supplement the little fan it has with good airflow around the hs.
Or if you've still got the stock P4 HSF you can mod that and get even better results..;) :p

ouch! what messed it up?
did you put the pretty broken radeon on your wall?
i have like 3 old motherboards on my wall hhahahaha
I just happen to have one :-D...but you gotta be kidding me. I see that you did that in the 3DMark team page. How did you do it?Quote:

Well, I didn't really have the proper tools so my mod didn't turn out great...:p But here's how you'd go about doing it:
