i always find it amazing how people from other folding communities can come in here and actually find out folding "hideout", due to the fact that we don't have a folding forum....many of us wish we would have one, but for now it looks like we're stuckQuote:

Others I rather not slow down certain rigs that I use all the time.. Since I do notice a large impact in performance while folding.
So run Folding when you're not actively using the systems. I pause FAH on my main system (AMD 1600) when burning CDs, converting MP3 to WAV, and some other stuff. But I'm sure there's plenty of hours in the day when you don't need full power.Quote:

Need a easy step by step for setting up duel instances of Folding on a HT machine. I know its in this thread but I dont have 125487852 hours to find it. Can anyone give me a link to another site or maybe a smaller thread?
Just download two 4.0 consoles into different folders and use the -local option in addition to -advmethods (and -forceSSE if it's an AMD).Quote:

You can set each to a different processor affinity, but I don't bother anymore because I see no noticable difference.

Every machine I have that is folding right now all run "-advmethods -local -forceSSE"

wow...the team is doing well! my production has been slipping a bit. had it down for about a day when i had my hdd switched out for some benchmarking...fun fun fun. well, now i'm back but will probably be down for a while this evening pulling all the guts out of my computer. time to do some work on it!! :) but i'll still be up and folding! :)
Well 10k, unfortunetly I think production is going to have to drasticly slow down for me. I'm going to probably taking a couple machines off line ,but will leave what I can going.
Keep pumping them out the rest of you ;)
Well, my production, just went down, I got 638 a 70.9 tinker looks like it will take 40hrs on my 1600+, I thought about trying to get another one, but I promised myself to take whatever they give to me and thats what I`m going to do no matter what.:) schultz, now that I`ve only got one computer going you have a chance to catch me. :)
