Since Radeonator screwed my setup.. I am testing different CATS now..
I am testing:
CAT 3.2
CAT 3.4
CAT 3.5
CAT 3.6
and
Omega 2.74 or whatnot...
So I will have a result which is better.. Also different DX versions
DX 8.1
DX 9.0
DX 9.0a
DX 9.0b
Incase anyone cares I will publish the results.. But it will be a stock vs stock compare.. I just got a base line of 177xx with my #2 setup 100% stock :)

I dont sleep that much so I do have some time in the very very late nights... I didnt even sleep last night :( I am not even tired... How sad :(

As most of you know.. There is about a 100 points lose in 3DMark01 SE when you upgrade from DX 8.1 to DX 9.0x
Now I tested all the versions of DX9.0x, There is little difference between them.. I believe the score would fluxuate about 10 points from DX 9.0, DX 9.0a, DX 9.0b
So once you upgrade to DX 9.0, The difference in the versions is little when it comes to 2003 :)

I would like to comment that the Omega drivers did rather well.. I didnt know they came with a bundle of software... Also 3DMark01 appeared a little darker then usual with the Omega drivers... So I dont know what is up with that :)
But they did much better then I thought they would... They did score better then some other ATI drivers.. I will show them later on.. Still working on the 2001se marks :)
I was also shocked that even with the updated 3DMark03 to version 3.3.0 (anti cheat) that the 9800Pro was not affected... Very strange! :D I guess I need to try an older version of Cats to see a difference...

I am using the latest... I am checking the 2001SE scores between the DX9.0b vs. DX8.1
So far 8.1 is faster, by 100 points... I am just going up the CAT scale now to check if they are all that much of a difference...
I did notice that if you upgrade to DX 9.0b AND use 3DMark03 3.3.0 dont use CAT 3.2, 3.4 or 3.5... The score is over 75 points less then CAT 3.6!!!
Now for a 2003 difference that is pretty large for just a driver change :)

I haven't had a chance to finish my review of the RAM yet. I was building a system for my friend today which turned out to be a DOG of an OCer.
2.4C won't go over 2.75ghz on stock cooling. ti4200 won't go over 270/540 without crashing. PSU is an Antec Trupower 430watt and all the rails look good. Using an Abit IS7-G.
I don't know. Kind of a disappointment.

He was hoping for like 2.8-3.0. Actually I just dropped it down to 2.66ghz cause it drops to desktop after about an hour of looping 3Dmark. I need it to be stable for him.
What a crap chip. It's from Costa Rica by the way.:(
IT seems the Costa are not doing to well... But some of their older chips were awesome!
